Denmark v Japan Betting Preview 2010-06-23
A crucial game in Group E, where both teams tied to the 2nd place will battle for it.
Japan currently with a goal difference of 0, is taking the second place, while Denmark with a goal difference of -1 is taking the 3rd.
Japan started really well against the team of Cameroon. The Japanese had the possession over the ball and with creative thinking got to the precious goal that game them the 3 points.
The second game however was a lot tougher where they met the teams of Netherlands. This game they lost but only with 0:1. They played as equal, and just for that they deserve admiration.
Denmark on the other hand, had a vice-verse expirience loosing the first game from Netherlands with 0:2, where the first goal came unexpectedly as an own goal from Danniel Agger.
However determined to keep their chances alive Denmark won the second game against Cameroon, and is now looking forward to this final game that will decided everything.
What to expect from this game?
This can be literally called the “final” of this group. With the advantage are the Japanese, who will advance if the game ends a tie. However I doubt that they will let it get down to this, but just so all of you have that in mind.
I am expecting Denmark to start with an offensive formation, on top of which will be Niko Bendtner. Being always blamed for not being able to scored, Bendtner has had trouble in the beginning, but now he seems quite confident in his scoring abilities.
On the other hand the Japanese will depend on their start Keisuke Honda. Which team will advance, we are about to see.
The betting verdict?
Both Teams to Score @ 1.83 (Bet365.com): Having in mind that both teams will try to win this game I am expecting both teams to go out with very offensive formation. Common logic is that an offensive formation will leave a lot of holes in defense which might lead to goals in both nets.
