Switzerland v Honduras Betting Preview 2010-06-25
One against each other will come up the last two teams in Group H, Switzerland and Honduras.
Switzerland started extremely well with one of the biggest surprises in the tournaments, beating the favorite for winning the World Cup, Spain with 1:0.
However their second game they lost with 0:1, but remained all chances to qualify if they are successful tomorrow. Honduras on the other hand hasn’t won a game yet. In fact they haven’t scored a goal yet, and this might be their last chance to do so.
On theory Honduras has a chance to qualify, but it’s so unrealistic that it’s not even worth mentioning it. However let me share it with you. They have to win over Switzerland with the score of 4:0, or at least 4 goals of a difference and in the same time, Spain has to loose to Chile.
What’s to expect from this game?
With main defender Philippe Senderos injured, Switzerland might have problems on defense. I am expecting them to go for the win here, since the illusion that Spain will loose to Chile is very unreal.
A minimal victory tomorrow over the team of Honduras and a Spain victory will qualify both European teams. Honduras on the other hand has as well nothing to loose and will try to grab the victory as well.
The betting verdict?
Under 2.5 Goals @ 1.80 (Bet365.com): Expecting both teams to play in midfield. Both teams came out the first two games with defensive formats and I expect to see something similar. Although they both will be looking for the goal, I doubt a lot of opportunities will come up, especially with the weak attack abilities of both sides.
